Newport Landing in Newport Beach

It’s a pretty good place. I had our wedding reception here a few years back and it was very good then. Went last night and it was decent I just have a problem with their prices. We paid $19 for fish and chips(very good) and paid $24 for a steak. So Newport Landing if you change that much for a meal the plate should include BOTH a salad two sides or at least 1 side. For $19 I got fish and chips and that was it throw a salad in it, salad cost is very low. When you throw the salad in there with the plate then I’ll come back.

Johna is the best ever! Only complaint is the crab Louie salad is you have to crack the crab....horrible! There was hardly any crab and impossible to get out of shell

I often take my friends to this place with my warmest recommendations. I visit this place often. This recommendation is always successful. The dishes they serve are delicious and the team is efficient and cooperative. Every time we go to this place we pass a gorgeous time. highly recommended.

I love it here. The service and the staff are incredible and friendly and the environment is amazing. Calamari is to die for and the any kind of fish is amazing there first time I had the bread pudding wow!!!! Ashley was our waitress but all of them helped out and we're kind!!!!

Great food and drink happy hour, along with great waterfront views. Amazing bread bowl chowder and house salad. Cant wait to return soon!

This is a great local restaurant. There can be a line on weekends. Very good, very finer cafe. Nice setting on the water, very pretty. Good energy, polite service.

The food! Oh my! Just gorgeous & SOOOOO DELICIOUS! The pricing is $$, but TOTALLY WORTH IT! (The server told us about a $32 Sunday brunch from 1000-1400 with $6 bottles of champagne... I wish we lived closer!)

Great atmosphere upstairs and great, friendly service. I remember the tempura calamari to be better in the past but still enjoyed it. Happy hour menu on Saturday too!

I love coming here. The ambiance is always great, food delicious, and service first class. Great for small or large parties or dates. Be careful, the weekends can be slammed. But this is a cool spot just to come for drinks. Bring $$$$ but expect the best

Great food and amazing service. Best crab cakes I have ever had. Excellent views from the deck. Right on the boardwalk with convenient parking directly behind the restaurant. The pier is only a few minutes walk away...

Love it! I come here every year for mother's day. The food is awesome. The ambient was superb with clear skies and Janice our server was outstanding! I will sure come back next year again.

Great location- from outside seating you can see Balboa Island and watch all the boats, cruises and yachts coming and going. Appetizers are fabulous. Staff was excellent every time I'm here. Highly recommend👍

The food was just okay. Not really worth the price but mix in the view and service and its doable. The bloody mary was great!

Great food and even better drinks. Parking sucks in that area on busy days, but don’t let that stop you from heading Down there

Less than average. Happy hour from 11am to 9 pm tells all. Bypass at all costs. 2 stars for the view only. Try the artichoke and chips - I dare you.

The menu was no big deal but the food was incredible! The manager, waiter,chef were so personable. I really didn't expect the food to be that good but it was AWESOME!

Loved the location in the Balboa harbor and they were very accommodating even for out large party. Can't go wrong with the selections of their Happy Hour menu.

Our waitress went out of her way to make us comfortable. We began our meal outside but the temp kept dropping and she cheerfully moved us inside.

Ate off the happy hour menu. It was all yummy and very reasonable. Our service was excellent. Esperanza our server was a joy. She highly recommended the Sunday brunch. We plan to try it! This is a delightful venue with a million dollar view! How lucky we were to stumble on it!

Had dinner on 01/19/2020 as part of Newport Beach Restaurant Week. Very delicious dinner while overlooking the water. Most enjoyable. Upstairs dining more casual but has better scenery.

Fantastic clam chowder. Friendly service. Great ambiance and view. Creative and satisfying entrees. Definitely a place to stop!

I don’t know where to begin. This restaurant was such a disappointment. It’s dirty! The mgmt and staff need to look around and do some cleaning. The food is okay. Definitely not anything I would go back for. The staff needs to be properly trained. Slow and sloppy service. Putting trays on tables to serve drinks and food! The different menus up stairs and downstairs is ridiculous. I don’t eat seafood but my family does. I asked if I could get something off the upstairs menu downstairs since it had more non seafood items, the answer was “no”. They have no cracked pepper for salad. A bread basket would have been nice. This restaurant has survived for one reason.... location.

Excellent service from our friendly server, Jordan. Nice location - light and airy. We sat upstairs on balcony with great view of water and ferry. We had the Sunday brunch which was good ( lots of shrimp) and I had a tuna avocado melt with yummy sweet potato fries. Brunch offered a champagne bottle for $6extra, which was good for mimosas. Very happy they had valet, $8 for 2 hrs (also had public parking next door) because it was a very busy Sunday in Newport Beach. Will go back for happy hour and oysters.

last night was our first time we visited this magnificent restaurant. But It is no doubt not the last. We enjoyed the evening very much with the attentive service, with the excellent cooking and booze and with the decent charge. We will no doubt come back soon.

Zomg! So delicious! The options were solid and flavor on point. I would have liked a little more meat in the appetizers but overall I am leaving full and happy. Our waitress, Jen, was really nice, attentive and got it right every time. A++ best experience on our last big meal on vacation. Spring Break 2019, is officially a success.

My husband and I took a friend to this restaurant for dinner. It was our third time this year. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent, and the service could not have been better with just the right amount of interaction with our server, which contributed to the evening. I do take my wine, but their wine list was excellent!

We had dinner at the restaurant yesterday. I had halibut & my husband had salmon dinner. Both meals & their restaurant-made dessert key lime pie were delicious & didn't make me nausea (some restaurants would use too much butter when cooking gourmet food). And the service was above & beyond. We're looking forward to try their Sunday buffet brunch.

Absolutely wonderful! Happened here at the last minute and was pleasantly surprised by a great meal and great location. Staff was amazing! They had heaters and blankets to use while eating outside. Would definitely return

Nice date night. The holidays are a great time to come enjoy this restaurant. We sat upstairs, on the balcony and were able to order off the dinner menu from the restaurant downstairs. The patio heater kept me warm and it was really nice to watch the decorated boats in the marina. Food and service was good. We will come back 😁.
